This class is available in person at the studio AND on Zoom at the same time. The class level will be determined by the clients enrolled, class themes, routines and props will vary to challenge and keep clients motivated. Mat Pilates class is a full body workout. Class concentrates on proper alignment and breathing, while strengthening and lengthening all major muscle groups; particularly focuses on "pilates core" (abs, back, pelvic floor and diaphragm). Mat Pilates classes use small props like exercise balls, resistance bands, free weights, foam rollers, bolsters and yoga blocks to activate more muscle groups and assist with proper form. Class themes: 1. Pure Mat 2. Sculpt and tone with free weights and small exercise ball. 3. Improve posture, strengthen shoulders, glutes and hamstrings with resistance bands. 4. Align, release and tone with a foam roller and weights. 5. Full body workout on Swiss/Balance Ball with weights or resistance bands. 6. Standing/Mat Cardio Pilates with free weights and yoga block.
